The inaugural Turks and Caicos International Film Festival (TCIFF) aims to celebrate film-makers who are making a difference to the environment and promoting an understating of ocean conservation issues. Scheduled to take place on the island of Providenciales from Nov 15 – 17, 2019, the Turks and Caicos International Film Festival is an opportunity to be informed, as well as entertained. The Turks and Caicos International Film Festival will run several film strands plus workshops and the Making Waves discussion program.
This three-day festival will include screenings of films in multiple locations, including an open-air screening of popular family films. A gala evening is to be hosted at The Shore Club on Long Bay. Throughout 2019 the Festival is working with local school children, teaching film-making skills that will encourage them to create short stories about conservation from their unique perspective.
