COVID Travel: How to travel to Turks & Caicos?

Nutmeg is a charming one-bedroom cottage located in the Turtle Cove area of Grace Bay Beach. The perfect place for a romantic getaway. World-famous Grace Bay Beach and Smith’s Reef (the best snorkeling on the island) sit right outside your back door, though you may be reluctant to pull yourself away from the serene and private setting of this beach cottage! Nutmeg is set one lot back from the beach, offering added privacy, a raised gazebo with limited views (perfect for a morning coffee or sunset cocktail), and a private path leading directly to Grace Bay Beach.

You can also socialize with 5 restaurants in the Turtle Cove Marina, located just a short walk away. The open-concept living room and kitchen come conveniently furnished with plenty of seating space and cooking supplies. Walk into your spacious bedroom, furnished with a king bed, another flat-screen television, and an en-suite bath. Open the pair of French doors straight from your bedroom to the pool deck. The en-suite bathroom has granite countertops with his and her sinks, modern fixtures, and a large shower stall.

Should you grow tired of sitting on the white sandy beach, lounging by your private freshwater pool, or enjoying the views from the raised gazebo, try relaxing in the hammock under a thatched roof

Notes:

• The bedroom has a king-size bed, en suite bath, patio, and TV.

• AC is metered in order to discourage use with doors and windows open, thus eliminating the need for a higher rental rate to cover AC waste.  You are given the first $150 per week of AC cost at no charge; beyond that, you will be charged actual costs.  The AC is metered on a separate meter which you will be shown at check-in.

• A cleaning fee of $235.00 is added to the rate.

• Nutmeg is located steps away from Smiths Reef, Smith’s Reef is widely regarded as offering the best snorkeling in the country. A strip of beach rock exists between the sand and the water in part because of this reef. Once you step over the rock it mostly disappears to reveal a soft sandy bottom with amazing snorkeling just ahead.

    The Nutmeg Cottage was perfect. What a beautiful little house.. The furnishings, the comfortable bedding, the soft thick bath towels, just like a five star hotel. The location was wonderful. We loved being able to walk the footpath to the beach and snorkel on Smiths Reef, return to the cottage and take a swim in the pool enjoying complete privacy. The level of service from the villa manager was outstanding. Very attentive and helpful. We loved it so much, we are hoping to return next spring. Thank you to Dani at the TC villas for guiding us in the right direction.

    This is our fourth trip and we liked this Villa the best. Twice before we had other Villas right down the beach. We liked the privacy, the pool and the little tower. It was a great trip and we look forward to coming again.

    We just returned from our second stay at Nutmeg. It's perfect for a couple. The bed is very comfortable with excellent linens. The kitchen has everything you need - we appreciated the cooler which we used everyday. The staff is professional and courteous. They all do an excellent job of making the stay comfortable and enjoyable.

    Everything was tip top! nothing out of place and extremely clean. I have already recommended it to several others! Best vacation I have ever been on and I can't wait to go back. The water so blue...(I though that was just a brochure touch up, didn't know you could find water that color!) and the sand so beautiful and white! The island felt very safe and the people were so friendly. My villa was more luxurious than I expected and it was just a one bedroom. Can't imagine what the larger ones are like! Simply fantastic trip!

    We ate at the Mango Reef just down the road and enjoyed it. Very nice in the evening when it was all lit up. We also did a StandUp Paddle Boarding tour through the mangroves which I loved. Never used a paddle board before in my life but they gave great instructions and it was super easy. The sights we saw and the info we learned were great! I will do it again next time I come! We also went on a snorkel excursion and a visit to Iquana Island. Amazing!
