They stated that news is coming in from all over the world that sea turtle nests and hatchings are benefiting from the now-empty beaches more than ever.

They shared that earlier this month, it was reported that 70,000+ Olive Ridley sea turtles were seen nesting along the coast of India.

In Brazil, 97 critically endangered hawksbill sea turtles hatched.

In Florida, the Loggerhead Marine life Center reported 79 leatherback and loggerhead sea turtle nests.

6 out of 7 sea turtle species are listed as threatened or endangered due to human impact. It’s incredible to see how much they thrive in our absence.

We are hopeful that when life returns back to the way things were prior to COVID-19, the new normal will include being more mindful of our environment and the impact we have on wildlife all around us.
