Looking for the best things to do in Turks and Caicos? We have put together some of our favorite things to try while visiting Turks and Caicos.
Take in the view
TCI will be one of the most beautiful places you have ever seen. Make sure you pause to take in the view. Really stop and look around you and enjoy every moment of the island’s scenery.
Best Villas for a Romantic Getaway in Paradise
Scuba Dive
Turks and Caicos have some of the world’s best scuba diving spots. We have the third-largest barrier reef system in the world, where you’ll find a wide array of fish, lobsters, and turtles. If you’re lucky, you can even meet Jojo, a lone dolphin and national treasure to TCI.
6 Reasons to choose a villa over a hotel
Horseback Ride in The Ocean
Make those dreams of horseback riding across perfect white sand beaches a reality and book yourself an excursion with Provo Ponies. You’ll also get to take the horses into the shallow waters for a truly unique experience.
Snorkel
Snorkeling is great in TCI for the same reason as diving. There are companies such as Big Blue Collective or Island Vibe Tours that offer snorkeling tours that are a lot of fun. If you’re up to exploring the waters off the beach in front of your own villa, popular spots are Smith’s Reef and Bight Reef in Princess Alexandra National Park. Many of our villas are located with beachfront access to Smith’s Reef.
Why travel to the Caribbean for your next holiday?
Stand Up Paddle Board or Kayak Through Chalk Sound National Park
Rent a paddleboard or kayak and explore this turquoise lagoon on the southwest of Providenciales, home to hundreds of small rocky islands. If you’re traveling with children, another option may be to visit Sapodilla Bay and Taylor Bay. They are technically outside of the park but are still considered to be part of the area. The sand is finer than other beaches and the water is very shallow and calm for swimming. Perfect for families and children of all ages.

Visit Grace Bay
Grace Bay is an exquisite stretch of ivory-white, powder-sand shoreline. Perfect for sunset walks, swimming, and soaking up the surroundings, the shallow, clear waters are also home to migrating starfish and other reef-dwelling marine life.

Take a Glow Worm Tour
As if the scenery wasn’t spectacular enough already, Providenciales also happens to be home to intriguing and mesmerizing natural phenomena. Every month, in the days following the full moon, the waters in the shallow bays around the Turks & Caicos islands are illuminated by Mother Nature’s light show with glow worm mating rituals.
Sun Charters is a highly recommended tropical schooner that offers tours at the beginning of each month to check out the beautiful ritual for yourself.

Visit Little Water Quay (Iguana Island)
Also known as Little Water Cay, this pristinely preserved island is home to locally loved rock iguanas that give the island its nickname. Organized tours and trails will give you the chance to get up close and personal with the prehistoric critters!
Kiteboarding and Water Sports
Get your adrenaline pumping with an endless variety of watersports you can partake in around the island, regardless of your experience level. Turks and Caicos is still somewhat of an undiscovered destination among kite surfers, but the wind and water conditions on the Atlantic side make it some of the best in the world for beginners and seasoned pros. If you’re a novice, then there’s no better place to learn than in the tranquil waters of Providenciales.
