As a conglomerate of paradisiacal islands immersed in stunning hues of blue, Turks & Caicos feature a never-ending array of sights to behold. In this blog post, we’ll go over some of the most emblematic spots for a jaw-dropping photoshoot.

On the Edge of Infinity

We’ve seen this one time and time again – and with good reason! In and of itself, infinity pools are a great spot for an aesthetically pleasing photo, however; when it comes to TCI, the pool plays a limited part. From the privacy of your villa, the glimmering ocean perceivably becomes an extension of your own space, adding to a sense of grandiosity. Perhaps most importantly, the juxtaposition of architecture over nature makes for contrast-rich and powerful imagery that’s sure to impress your followers. For extra points, wait until sundown (or avoid the sun at its strongest point) to take your photo -the dimming sunlight and tones of red will make your photo feel peaceful and romantic.

During a Sunset at sea

When vacationing in TCI, you could blindly throw a conch anywhere and chances are it will land on something beautiful. Having said that, it will be easy to find a spot where you can make every one of your followers envious. Sailing on one of Provo’s many sunset cruises certainly falls under this category. There is something intrinsically magical about floating in the middle of the ocean as the Caribbean sun paints everyone onboard with the softest shades of orange. This is a great opportunity to catch a stunning backlight shot (among many others) -face the camera with the sun in the back and capture your silhouette as it’s delineated by the receding sun.

Hammock Style

It’s clear hammocks belong in paradise -after all, they were developed by native inhabitants of the Caribbean, Central, and South America. The same qualities that make a hammock so desirable also make it a great spot for a photoshoot. It’s a relaxing element in your composition and when combined with the gentle lapping of the waves over the white sand (as a background), you typically end up with an impressive shot. If you want to add to it, lay in a hammock that’s shaded from the sun -this way you’ll end up with a properly exposed photo on all levels.

Grace Bay Beach Living

This is an obvious yet necessary one -one does not simply visit Provo and not experience Grace Bay Beach. You can let your creative juices flow with this one as you’ll have a variety of stunning elements to use within your composition, like for instance: powder-white sand, crystal blue & shallow water, palm trees, water sports, and more! Get a colorful drink from one of the many restaurants along the beach and use it to contrast the surrounding colors. Use a low aperture in your camera settings to blur your surroundings -this will give you a soft & colorful background.

Chalk Sound

As a natural & highly scenic lagoon, Chalk Sound offers many valuable spots for great photography. On the one hand, Chalk Sound itself is, for the most part, is evenly shallow – this turns the water an intense blue as the sunlight bounces off the floor. On the other hand, you are not limited to the lagoon – the surrounding hills are a great spot for a hiking adventure. If you get to the top, you’ll even get to see centuries-old pirate carvings (with a view)!

Rest assured, running out of tropical sceneries won’t be an issue.
